“I’m the one telling you how it is”

Yes, you may think that headline seems harsh, but in business you must show leadership—or expect to perish.

As leaders we need to be comfortable with the fact that we will be ridiculed. That we may be wrong. That our mistakes will be public. (That last one may really hurt!)

Now, consider for a moment the opposite choice—that you stay in obscurity, your business bumbles along, and you never gain a significant income … is that really why you started your own business?

So be clear and pick up the courage to tell the world how it’s going to be. Because the world needs leaders just like you. To tell them how it’s going to be.

And don’t forget this applies in lots of small interactions. When you present in front of clients, when you write an article, and when you set the course for the staff.

Am I telling you to stop listening? Oh no, but you have to show leadership and stick with your convictions.
