If you feel challenged by a computer, drop everything else, and become really confident with your Mac or PC. In a world where most business people spend at least 5 hours every day on the computer you don’t want to spend 10 hours to complete the same tasks (you could be in for some really long days).
Unless you are mastering every available technology at your disposal, you will find it difficult to compete with other players in the marketplace who leverage technology with ease.
Don’t listen if somebody tells you that you can get other people to do those things for you. We no longer live in an era where everybody can have a top-notch executive assistant. It may take years before you have earned that, and in the meantime, you don’t want to be left behind.
Don’t stop there. There are many technology items that can make you more productive. You may already have a smartphone, but do you really use it to its full capacity?
Are you taking meeting notes on paper and then transcribing them on the computer? Sounds like double–handling to me. Use technologies wherever you can to streamline your tasks and save you time.
