Become a Host

Would you like to HOST a Business Connector club?

We are looking for permanent hosts for new clubs so we can start to really grow the networks.

You will need to be available to host each meeting (held every 3 weeks) on a week night.

As a new Business Connector Host your commitment would be

  • To host the event every 3 weeks (without fail - if you need to cancel you will need to find another host to fulfill your duties if I am unavailable)
  • To promote the event to your network and follow up by email/phone
  • To always ensure that we get new people through the door and the club does not become stale or stagnant
  • To suggest speakers and venue if you have them in mind. Free speakers are preferred.
  • Ensure that all attendees have paid upon arrival and collect payment in cheque form if not
  • To report back to me on the progress of each meeting the day afterwards
  • Send any Cheques onto me within 2 working days of the meeting taking place.

Compensation: 50% of the door takings minus half the expenses (such as the speaker, venue hire and any equipment hire required etc...) Room hire usually costs $100 per evening, data projectors can be additional, we usually do not pay for speakers at all.

If you get 10 people your take will be $100.00 minus half of all expenses

If you get 20 people your take will be $200.00 minus half of all expenses

If you get 30 people your take will be $300.00 minus half of all expenses

So the idea is the more people you get - the more you earn, however I do think keeping the groups to fewer than 30 is wise.

It is also in all of our interests to obtain free or low cost professional venues to hold the meetings.

We will pay your fees by direct deposit the week after the meeting is held once all Cheques have been cashed.
