Emma will be speaking on the topic: of

”Building an Online Community”

During this session we will cover how static websites can be transformed into a community just be
adding a number of simple, cheap and effective technology bolt-on's. 92% of the web population visit some type of online community's.They are now becoming the virtual equivalent to a local bar, coffee shop or other place to meet. Places where those faces hardship or loss, can find advice from others going through the same thing. What are Online Communities and Why Are They Important?

Emma Puttick is Sauce Software Business Development Manager/Managing Director

As a founding member of Sauce Software, Emma is responsible for managing Sauce Software’s sales and marketing program, and general management.

Emma has over 20 years experience in biotechnology and ICT related industries, focused on management of customer relationships and business development of advanced projects. In 2004 she moved back to Australia, for her husband to help set up Smart Environments, a home automation company. But it was the hurdles encountered while creating two online businesses that lead Emma to realise the need for an integrated approach to online business.

Emma saw an opportunity to empower and educate small and medium businesses by utilising open source software, which brings together the greatest software programmers in the world to create efficient, effective and user-friendly platforms to address every aspect of an organisation’s needs, online. Sauce Software was born from this vision in 2005, directed by Emma’s ‘go to market’ plans and masterminded by a young team of software programmers.
